SCIS
THE CHALLENGE

SCIS came to Wild and Free Media with an exciting opportunity - to name and brand a local development, and create supporting marketing collateral. The townhouse development off Gosford Road, Adamstown will comprise of eight large, three-bedroom townhouses. To add to the excitement, the development stands proudly on the ground previously owned by the grandparents of one of the developers.

The starting point for this project - the name - is more than mere letters on a page, it is the genesis of a new brand identity. As such, Wild and Free Media were compelled to create something unique and interesting with polished imagery to support and enhance it.
THE SOLUTION

In the naming of the development, Wild and Free Media felt it was important to pay homage to the developer’s grandparents in a way that would reflect the high quality and luxury of the architectural homes to be built.

During the process, we entertained a number of considerations from memorability, to spelling and ease of pronunciation, to the emotions that the name evokes about the design and location of the development - just to name a few.

Taking inspiration from the grandfather’s name which means ‘happy’ or ‘willing’ in Macedonian, the development was given the moniker Rados106. Ringing exotic, inclusive and prestigious, Rados106 highlights key characteristics that make Adamstown such a desirable suburb. This feeling is reflected in the entertainment and al fresco areas of the homes, the polished design and the high-end finishes throughout.

Once the name was chosen, Wild and Free Media created a logo that reflected the name and established the new brand is identified with quality and luxury. Taking inspiration from folded aluminium, we created a refined and contemporary logo, using highly legible, bold and clean typography. Incorporating soft gradients adds depth and weight to the design, and establishes a sense of pride in the quality of the materials and high end finishes of the homes. The beauty of this minimalist design is that it can be incorporated into coloured or patterned backgrounds, or used simply in black and white.

The name and logo design for Rados106 is only the beginning of the story that Wild and Free Media are writing with SCIS. The brand launch will also involve a supporting website, press ads, DL flyers and the whole works - so keep watching this space!
