4 Easy Steps to Boost Your Social Media

There are two types of people in this world. The ones who find social media trickier than navigating a ship in a storm, and those who think it’s as simple as posting a peace-sign-and-pout selfie every once in a while. Well, we’re here to tell you that (with the right guidance) it’s actually neither.

When representing your brand online, whilst there are certain items worth considering, you don’t have to freak out and run away from it all together. With our guidance you can turn social media into an extremely beneficial tool that elevates your brand and grows your business to your desired audience.

Here are our 4 super simple steps to get your head around the online/digital world and boost your social media presence.

1. Find your brand’s voice

Let the heart of your business shine through your content. Showing your personality and being completely authentic will gain the interest from your followers and find the right audience for your brand.

Be unique and simply you by not getting lost in the sea of draining business talk. Your community will hear you and want to connect to that personal touch.

2. Don’t fluff around

Hone in on what brings your community together and be the one to serve your people; after all, they’re just like family.

Ask questions, raise concern, be relevant to your community and connect through creating genuine interest in topics that have the power to bring people together.

3. Drop the sales pitch

Try not to be led under the false impression that social media should be your sole source of promotion. Your followers are already there because they know and love your brand.

So try not to bore them with endless sales propaganda. Remember this is Social Media not Sales Media folks…

Stick to 20/80 rule, whereby 20% is marketing or promotional content (however the recommendation is to use this sparingly), and the other 80% chunk is awesome, intriguing and engaging content to keep your day-ones around.

4. Find your rhythm

Now don’t go rushing to hit the “post” button straight after reading this. I know you must have a tonne of great ideas rushing around by now but hold out a little longer.

Planning your posts goes a long way, and you can do this by looking into your algorithm and focusing on the time of day where your audience engagement is at its peak. Create a schedule to post within that timeframe regularly (but not too regularly). Remember consistency is key and is foundational to bring eyeballs onto your brand.

A good social media strategy can make the world of difference to your brand. Implementing these four simple steps can be the start of success for your brand’s image, however if you’re wanting to look further into creating a bigger platform for yourself but don’t know how to get there, then please get in touch with us today.
